A Guide to Stewardship

The Greek word for “Steward” is Οἰκονόμος, meaning one who lovingly tends to the household entrusted to him. As Orthodox Christians, every Steward is a faithful Caretaker, called to safeguard, nurture, and honor the sacred inheritance of our historic and blessed Parish, not as owners, but as servants of God’s household.

There are many sacred ways to offer to the life of our Parish, but Stewardship is one of the most direct and prayerful expressions of our thanksgiving to God. It is not simply a donation; it is a visible act of faith, a response to the countless blessings our Lord has poured upon us.

Through your Stewardship, you become a vital part of Christ’s work in the world. Your offering sustains our worship and liturgical life, our pastoral care, our Ministries to the Υouth, the Elderly, and every soul in our spiritual family. It enables our educational efforts, our fellowship in love, and our Philanthropic outreach to the broader Community.

When you give, you are not just supporting a Church, you are participating in the very mission of Christ, offering Him your first fruits in gratitude, humility, and love.

Through your stewardship, our Church does not merely operate—it thrives. It flourishes as a living icon of Christ’s presence, a vibrant home for worship, service, fellowship, and spiritual growth.

It costs about $2,200 each day to sustain the spiritual life, ministries, and responsibilities of our Parish. This includes the liturgical schedule, sacraments, pastoral care, staff support, outreach, education, utilities, and maintenance, not including extraordinary or emergency needs.

Your annual commitment is more than financial support. It is an act of love, devotion, and shared responsibility. We thank you for being a vital part of this holy work.

How to Make Your Stewardship Commitment

We have lovingly prepared suggested commitment levels to help guide your offering. These amounts are not requirements, but spiritually grounded pathways to support the Church in a way that is meaningful and sustainable for you and your family.

If you are facing financial hardship or uncertainty, please do not be discouraged. We kindly ask you to speak directly and confidentially with Fr. Vasileios. We are here to support one another with grace and compassion.

Stewardship FAQ’s

  1. How do I become a Steward of Holy Trinity – St. Nicholas?

Click on the “Become A Steward” button on any page of our website. Fill out the Pledge Form and click submit after you are done.

  1. What does it mean to, “Make a Pledge?”

“Making a Pledge” means that you promise to make a  monetary commitment to your church and that you promise to fulfill that commitment by the end of the pledge year.

  1. How much should I pledge?

This is entirely up to you. However, your Church has a budget that is required to maintain the daily operation of the Church’s facilities.

We pray that you choose one of the suggested amounts listed on our Parish Stewardship card and the online form.

  1. How often should I make payments towards my pledge?

We recommend making monthly payments towards your pledge. There are several ways to do this.

A) If you bank online you can set up your stewardship payment as a recurring payment with your bank. If you chose any frequency other than one time the system will automatically charge your method of payment based on that frequency.

B) You can use your credit card. Fill out your credit card information on the online stewardship pay form below.

C) You can send in your stewardship payment by check.

A Final Word from the Heart

Stewardship is not simply about keeping the lights on. It is about keeping the light of Christ alive in our Community. Your generosity sustains the sacred rhythm of Parish life: the Divine Liturgy, the Sacraments, the education of our youth, the compassion shown to the suffering, and the open door that welcomes every soul who seeks God. When you give to the Church, you give to Christ. And when you commit your heart to Stewardship, you proclaim that this parish is not just a place you attend—it is your spiritual home.

We thank you for your faith, your presence, and your love.

With deep gratitude in Christ,

+ Fr. Vasileios, and the Stewardship Committee
